Brandon FC WPSL

The Women’s Premier Soccer League is a nationwide league dedicated to promotion and development of women’s soccer at the highest level. Brandon FC owns a franchise in the league and the season runs from May 1st to August 6th. The players are comprised of current and former college players along with the top U17 and U18 female players from Brandon FC. This program allows our Elite players to play alongside and compete against college players in order to better prepare them for the transition between the youth and college game.

Brandon FC Downs FSA in WPSL Match

The Brandon FC WPSL Ladies took on the FSA Freedom in a Sunshine Conference regular season match that provided some entertaining action for the fans. Brandon FC went into the halftime break 1-0 thanks to a goal by Taylor Decaire from a beautiful pass from Shea Rhoney. In second half action, Decaire notched her second of the night to take the lead to two. This time Connor Zwetsch was the provider on a penetrating pass that Decaire slotted in the side netting. FSA got back into the match

Brandon FC Triumphs on the Road

The Brandon FC WPSL team hit the road to take on Palm Beach United at the Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach, Fla. After going down a goal in the first five minutes, the ladies from Brandon battled back to take a 2-1 lead at the half. With ten minutes left, Brandon FC added an insurance goal to cap off an impressive 3-1 road win. Noelle Pineiro opened the scoring for Brandon and Shea Rhoney scored the second off a brilliant ball from Brittany Coca. Shea Rhoney turned provider for the last goal as she centered a ball

Brandon FC Wins the Battle of the Bay

The Brandon FC WPSL team faced cross-town rivals Tampa Bay Hellenic in a Sunshine Conference regular season match up tonight at JC Handly Park. The score was tied at the half as neither team was able to find the back of the net. The game looked as if it would end scoreless when Brandon FC youth player AJ Blount broke free on the right flank and centered a pass to Chelsea Klotz who tucked away the game winner in the 87th minute. Brandon FC hits the road for a match against Florida Sol FC in Jacksonville on Friday and then returns home on Sunday to face the South Florida Strikers at 3:00 pm.

Brandon FC's Annie Hamel Named to WPSL Team of the Week

SACRAMENTO, CA (06/21/11) - Its now a month before the end of the regular season after this past weekend’s action in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), and the stretch drive has begun in earnest in all five conferences. While some individual performances helped keep their respective teams in the post-season race, others helped cement the top-of-the-table status for their sides.

Brandon FC WPSL Wins Away At The South Florida Strikers

Ft. Myers, Fla. – The Brandon FC WPSL team traveled down to Florida Gulf Coast University to take on the South Florida Strikers. After several lightning delays, the scheduled 6:00pm match kicked off at 7:30 pm. After a first half that saw Brandon FC dominate in spells of possession, the match remained scoreless. As the second half got underway, Brandon FC produced the match’s first goal on a set piece taken by Noelle Pineiro. The goalkeeper made a save and Olivia Bloemke headed in the rebound from close range. South Florida would rally and score off a counter attack. The score remained tied until the 75th minute when Pineiro would slip in Emliy Dowd and her sliding effort would hit the back of the net. With the game winding down, Pineiro would score an incredible solo effort from 35 yards into the upper 90.
