BAYSL and Player's Club Merger
Club's merge to better serve the Community

Brandon, FL April 24, 2010 - The Brandon Area Youth Soccer League (BAYSL) and the Players Club of Tampa Bay (PCTB) are pleased to announce a merger of the two organizations. The Players Club of Tampa Bay has become part of the Brandon FC brand and this will provide exciting new opportunities for unequaled development and training programs for youth soccer in the Brandon area and our surrounding community.

Founded in 1975, BAYSL is the fourth largest youth soccer organization in the state, offering a wide variety of soccer programs for children and adults of all ages and skill levels. The Players Club of Tampa Bay, founded by Romildo Sanches in 1999, provides both adult and youth programs for all ages.

The merger was formed to combine resources and provide better opportunities for the children in our community. The result of the merger will produce high-quality training for the individual ambitions of our players. The merger will allow all players in the community to compete at various levels of competition through programs such as the Regional Premier League, CDL League, USA League, Region Cup, State Cup and US Soccer’s Florida Cup. This also includes opportunities to play in high profile tournaments and represent themselves at college showcase events. The recreational opportunities will increase with professional coaches teaching and training within those programs to enhance player development.

Merging the two organizations will provide new opportunities to grow youth soccer programs in the Brandon area and the surrounding communities with an impressive staff of professionals educating the players. Brandon FC Club Director, Gary Rach, will lead the merged organization, aided by Director of Coaches Clay Roberts for the boys programs, and Randy Belli for the girls programs. Romildo Sanches, with his many years of experience and excellence in developing young players, will become the Director of Player Development and train the youth Academy level teams. This merger would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of Daniel Gorman.

"Combining resources with Players Club will allow us to provide the community we serve with the absolute best youth soccer training and development programs in the area,’’ said BAYSL Club Director Gary Rach. "Our collective goal is to provide opportunity for all players at all levels, offering the children of our community a safe, fun and exciting place to learn and play soccer with unparalleled programs."

"It is with great excitement that I can now officially announce the merger of Players Club into the expanding BAYSL soccer program," said Players Club DOC Romildo Sanches. "In today’s soccer world, those that will excel and prosper are those with the vision to "pool" their resources for the purpose of benefiting the kids, the game of soccer, as well as the community. With a single minded goal and focus to maximize the quality of their soccer experience and development, I am quite excited about the opportunity and very much look forward to supporting that mission under the BAYSL banner for many years to come."

BAYSL president Joanne Quinn said, "Brandon Area Youth Soccer is a club that supports the community and its youth through soccer and we are very excited to have Player’s Club join our mission and our goals."

BAYSL believes that it represents the community’s desire to provide opportunities for all children to play soccer, to develop with character, honesty and integrity as well as learn and implement leadership skills. BAYSL believes in its players and their ambitions and strives to provide the
