Hall, Taylor-Parkes and Alvarez co-Golden Boot winners

TAMPA, Fla. – The Brandon Flames U13 Boys stormed through the competition at the 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals and they have the hardware to prove it. Aside from the championship medals Julian Hall, Raheem Taylor-Parkes and Chase Hovious picked up, they also were named to the 2011 All-Tournament Team. Hall and Taylor-Parkes were also Co-Golden Boot winners with Kendall SC’s Andy Alvarez with five goals apiece.
The 2011 All-Tournament Teams were selected by USL staff based on tournament statistics, ODP nominations submitted by tournament coaches, and recommendations from the USL Technical Staff. The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals were held December 2-6 in Brandon and Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
The Central Jersey Spartans, 2011 runners-up, are also well represented with midfield standout Chaz Burnett and forward Jalil Blalock earning spots. The duo combined for nine goals and two assists in their run to the title game.
Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC forward Joel Padmore was selected after a superb tournament, pacing his side with two goals and an assist.
Damacus SC’s Martin Foray, the Chicago Fire’s Cristian Sanchez, and Atlanta Fire United’s Diego Manrique were selected as the team’s defenders after their solid defensive outings at the Finals.
Goalkeeper Aidan Aylward guided the Ottawa Fury to the semifinals, while keeping two clean sheets along the way.
