Scholarships

Scholarships are available to all BAYSL players (recreational or select) and their families for financial assistance with the fee(s) charged by BAYSL, as defined in the BAYSL By-Laws.  The scholarship award can only be applied to BAYSL Club fees. No team fees, uniforms, travel fees, etc. will be covered.  Full or partial scholarships may be awarded.  Scholarships awarded are a one (1) time event and no future guarantee or consideration is implied or expected.  Players and their families my apply for a scholarship every year.

To apply for a scholarship:

1.  Download the Scholarship Application.

2.  Read all instructions and fully complete the application. 

3.  Attach additional information:  Copies of last two income tax returns, team budget (if applicable), fundraising plans and other sponsorship opportunities.  NOTE:  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

4.  Place completed application along with the player's registration form in an envelope and either mail to:  BAYSL, Attn: Scholarship Committee, PO Box 3322, Brandon, FL  33509 or drop off by the BAYSL office at 3104 S. Kings Avenue, Brandon, FL. (Normal office hours are Monday - Friday 9am-1pm)

Once received, the BAYSL Scholarship Committee will review your application and determine if a scholarship will be awarded.  You will receive a reply from the committee regardless of the outcome of their decision.

Please note that all information provided and/or discussed will be kept confidential. 

The information provided for consideration, either verbal or written, must be true, complete and factual to the very best of one's ability and knowledge. Inaccurate information will result in disqualification for one (1) calendar year.
